About Us

Coach Ben.jpg

Little Heroes Hockey Academy is a program founded by Coach Ben. It was created to give children with Developmental Disabilities the opportunity to play hockey.

Little Heroes Hockey Academy gives the players the opportunity to be apart of a team, while providing learn-to-skate and basic hockey skills.

Our program is financially supported by our generous community and fully executed by volunteers.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Little Heroes Hockey Academy is designed to offer children with developmental delays an opportunity to play ice hockey. It gives them the opportunity to participate and develop relationships they might otherwise be excluded from.

Little Heroes Hockey Academy is for Children between the ages of 5 - 15, and will run from October to February.

Through the sponsorship and generosity of our community, we aim to provide this program at no cost to the families. We provide the players with the ice-time, and they will be fit up with donated hockey equipment. We organize gear fit sessions prior to the start of the season, to help the players be comfortable and safe, and meet some of our coaches, volunteers and other players.

(Players MUST wear full hockey gear from head to toe)

 Thank you for your support.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP

Little Heroes Hockey Academy has developed partnerships with the Chilliwack Minor Hockey and the Chilliwack School District to help the program be successful. These partnerships offer great opportunity to spread awareness about disabilities throughout the community, as well as promote social acceptance and relationships that may not be forged in another setting.

We also have amazing sponsors who donate to our program so that it can continue to run successfully.

Another thank you to the many hockey families throughout the Fraser Valley who have donated hockey gear to our program.

We are so grateful to all our partnerships, sponsors and hockey families. Without their generosity, this program could not exist.
